Hailey Bieber Supports Selena Gomez Amid Message on “Hateful” Comments
View Date:2024-12-23 20:08:35
Hailey Bieber is all about making her intentions clear.
Nearly three months after she and Selena Gomez publicly squashed feud rumors, the Rhode Beauty founder has continued to show subtle signs of support, with Hailey most recently liking a June 11 Instagram post shared by the singer.
Not to mention, the model—who is married to Selena's ex Justin Bieber—also posted a message addressing "hateful" commentary to her Instagram Stories just one day later.
"If you're leaving mean or rude comments on my behalf on anyone's posts, just know that I don't want that not do I ever or will ever support or condone hateful, mean, or nasty comments," she wrote in her June 12 message. "Doing that is not supporting me."
As Hailey noted, "If you are participating in that, you are part of a culture that I want no part of. Please be nice or don't say anything."
In late March, Selena, 30, shared a message of her own slamming "hateful negativity" aimed at Hailey, 26. (The "Wolves" singer's note came after years of speculation that the two had a feud over Selena's ex, Justin, 29.)
"This isn't what I stand for," Selena wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time. "No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I've always advocated for kindness, and really want this all to stop."
As for Hailey, she followed up by sharing a note of gratitude for the "Same Old Love" singer that same day.
"I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing the last few weeks about how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I," Hailey's message shared to Instagram Stories read. "The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this, which is extremely harmful."
She went on to note that "moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together."
"We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say including myself," Hailey concluded. "In the end, I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion."
